Halo 5 nebude mít split-screen

Bohužel, četli jste správně - Halo 5: Guardians skutečně nebude obsahovat split-screenový multiplayer. Informoval o tom Josh Holmes, Executive Producent 343 Industries.
Vysvětluje to tím, že vynechání split-screenu se projeví na kvalitě hry. Halo 5 je jejich dosud největším projektem a vynechání split-screenu zaručí, že se hra dostaví v den vydání v co největší kvalitě.
"Rozhodnutí (odstranit všechny split-screenové módy) bylo extrémně obtížné pro team, ale bylo nutné pro dodání největší Halo hry včas. 343 se soustředí na zajištění fanouškům, že toto budou nejlepší zkušenosti s Halo, které zatím prožili a vynechaný split-screen bude kompromisem hratelnosti a vizuálních efektů."
Nic to ale nemění na zklamání, které se mnohým fanouškům dostalo. Na E3 ukázalo 343 Industriesgameplay, ve kterém slíbili možnou spolupráci až 4 hráčů přes Internet. Naděje hráčů se tedy ubírali k split-screenu alespoň pro 2 hráče, v lepším případě až pro 4.
Nutno ale uznat, že Halo 5: Guardians je opravdu veliký projekt. Z multiplayerové bety mohli mnozí z vás pocítit skutečnou změnu oproti minulým dílům. Navíc má mít mnohem delší kampaň než kdy dříve, která má obsahovat jak příběh Master Chiefa, tak nového Spartana Locka (kterého můžete znát ze seriálu Halo: Nightfall). Obavy vývojářů jsou tedy skutečně na místě.
Toto tedy bude první střílečka Halo, která nebude obsahovat split-screen (až na mobilový Halo: Spartan Assaulth a samozřejmě strategii Halo Wars). Přesto sám za sebe říkám, že se opravdu těším. Jestli je Master Chief zrádce či ne a Locke přítel nebo nepřítel se dozvíme 27. října, kdy hra vyjde exkluzivně na Xbox One.
